Hey guys,

This is the environment I've been working on since the Jan-March class.  Still have lots to work on, including the surrounding natural environment, trees, rocks, grass etc.

I'm hoping to spend some time on that soon.  Would appreaciate a critique from Jason, and whatever feedback anyone has to offer.

Thanks!

Digging what you've got going on here so far, do you have any breakdowns of any of the props for the level so far? I'd like to check out what you've got going on a bit more in depth. That being said, I'm feeling like the textures don't necessarily feel cohesive. But overall I'm really liking the direction this is going and I'm really hoping you post more of this as you work on it.

I'll post some breakdowns soon, and keep working on the textures.  I've got a few things in mind, that I think will tie them together a little better, and break up some of the repetative areas.  Thanks for the feedback.

Not a problem man, really digging the direction you're taking it like I said. think it's going to be a pretty awesome piece.

Here's an update.  I got around to roof structures, some texture work, some vegitation and rocks. I also made some breakdown shots.  There's a little more on my site:  http://artofpoole.blogspot.com/p/cg.html

Hey Stephen, great job on the last round of changes. The scope of this scene is insane and it's really starting to take shape so I commend your efforts and perseverance! Here is a paintover of my favorite 3 shots with some final polish suggestions. This is the last time I promise :)

Thanks for the paintovers Jason.  Those are cool ideas.  Curved shapes in my squared-off world, you say?  Ok, I'll see what I can do.

For the first two shots, I stuck pretty close to the paintovers.  The paintover of the third shot felt a little too "whimsical" for the rest of the scene to me, so I tried something a little diffferent, while trying to incorporate some of the ideas.  Let me know what you think.

Awesome work on these Stephen! I'm glad you stuck with it and you have a really nice scene to show for it. Now get started on the next environment :)

Thanks!  I learned a ton doing this.  I'm brainstorming the next one.  The scope will be a bit narrower.  That's all I can confirm at this time.
