Will anyone be willing to come into class early on Thursday to help me. I am stuck on Sub D modelling, and could use help. edit: I have watched tutorial videos, and still run into issues. I will appreciate any assistance.

Update: I have taken a new medicine recently, and it has side effects which has impacted me to the point that I cannot make it to class today, If anyone could tell me what was covered and which videos I should watch to make it up.

Thank you.

Alright Ethan,

So a few things we went over in class was more about the Baking process in 3ds max and exporting over to Unreal Engine. I would highly recommend downloading Unreal Engine and setting that up on your rig. Getting used to exporting and importing between different programs. Second I understand your having problems with sub D stuff. So below I will post the grenade tutorials I highly highly recommend you do those tutorials if your trying to get good practice at making a complex prop for your game engine. These tutorials I did last year really made me confident in modelling in sub D and exporting to game engine with proper textures.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjvrjjR_bZU part 1 grenade tutorial the rest should be on youtube somewhere

If you need refresher on UV unwrapping and UV channels this is a great video to look through for reference

Great video for modelling basic trim on a building right here

Send me some screenshots of the problems you are runnning into at home for sub d modelling and I'll try to help out in any way I can on the forum page.

Plus others will be able to comment on what the issues could be.

Hope this helps.

Eugie.

P.S. if you come into class at 4pm during open lab hours on Tuesday I can walk you through some of the baking processes we went over in class on Thursday.

Peace out hombre
