Unreal Texture Layering

I'm not sure how I even managed to get this to work but, seems like it mostly did, though I suspect I'm not arranging the nodes in the octopus properly and feel like there is a cleaner way to do this. Needness to say, I have no previous experience with Unreal Editor, and feel like I'm stumbling in the dark and remembering how things are laid out, is troubling. Here's my octopus and here's the result, which the aim was, slightly shiny painted metal with lots of matte grime and grit. If I could get some help, Jason, on how to better do this, that would be great. If others know, also awesome.

I'm also having some annoyingly obvious rough edges on my alphas grime on the surface and wonder the best way to fade it or blend it down into the base color.
