Can anyone please tell me how to use gradient tool with soft light  such as Kekai did in the lecture...
i've tried several times and it always end up damaging the whole drawing instead of giving to it nice variations of lighting like kekai did. :(

I think all you need do is make a new layer set it to soft light and you the gradiant on the new layer.  

 

Im not on a computer with photoshop right now but I will try it later and post back.
